Fabio Torres (São Paulo - SP, 1980), grew up in the ABCD region of São Paulo, has lived in the state of Goiás since 2017. He graduated in philosophy, started his production as a multimedia artist in the year 2020.
In her work, she uses different media, such as video, photography and graphic art, among other languages. Investigating the relationship between words and images, using technological and traditional resources to address issues related to work, consumption and the environment.
Neoliberalism, with its aesthetics of a neo-Pentecostal shopping center in the realm of agriculture, has gained its place in Brazil, as in other countries of the global south. This system of aestheticization as a project attacks everything that is alive in the name of concentrating the wealth of economic groups. Sterilization as a project is presented in layers, masks and filters, it cements everything and everyone, the soy and cattle industry for export creates its windows scenario based on fire and death in how many banks take houses and builders tear down stories.
Themes such as materialism, social performance and semiotics are key concepts in the artist's research.
